Breastfeeding Basics: To read before baby arrives…

Studies have shown that antenatal education has the biggest impact on breastfeeding success. Understanding the basics of breastfeeding empowers mothers with the knowledge and skills they need to initiate and maintain breastfeeding, overcome challenges, and make informed decisions that benefit both their baby's health and their own. Trying to grapple with the sleeplessness and the mechanics of breastfeeding after hormones of labour and birth can be quite challenging.

Antenatal education and understanding this material is how most of my patients have initiated and maintained breastfeeding. recommend reading going over these topics at 34, 36 and 38 weeks.
